The band perform Irish Ceilidh (ceili) for weddings in and around Skelmersdale. Together they spread their musical wings very wide, encompassing jigs and reels from the British Isles to the gypsy dances of Hungary and Romania and the rhythm and blues from across the Atlantic.
The GM Band play music for all sorts of events and in venues such as hotels, restaurants and church halls. Their caller is experienced in explaining the dances and then helping people through them. They usually start with very easy dances and then they get a bit more complex as the evening goes on. During any breaks, the band will play some tunes or sing a few songs.
