About Helston

Helston is at the northern end of the Lizard Peninsula, near the A394, and is home to the Museum of Cornish Life. It is also known for the Furry Dance, which takes place on or around the 8th May which is known as Flora Day.

There are dances throughout the day and the town band plays. The dancers wear the symbolic flower of Helston, Lily of the Valley.
