The ST Swing Jazz Band area a wedding/function band who mainly specialize in providing a brand of quality music to local, and not so local, jazzclubs, restaurants, hotels,bars etc. Prudhoe is within this Jazz Band’s local performance area. This is a quality trio delivering a polished, professional performance at every gig. Jon on saxes is a graduate of Nottingham University and is exceptionally talented on his instrument. This Jazz Band is well known in Prudhoe. Geoff playing basses is currently studying for a Masters in performance at the R.N.C.M. The GL Jazz Trio are a distinctive trad/dixie trio based firmly Up North. An ideal Jazz Band for a wedding or party in Prudhoe. With a classic lineup of sousaphone, banjo and trombone, these boys can deliver an unforgettable experience. They're much more than the usual jazz band - 1920s songs, speciality tunes, banjo virtuosity and a magnificent selection of waistcoats are all on the cards. If you're lucky, they might even play Dueling Banjos (on one banjo)!
This band specialise in the unique British Dance Band sound of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s with its combination of violins, saxophones and rhythm section. George draws his inspiration for his piano and vocals from the likes of Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Chet Baker, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
