The Midsummer Quartet @ the Royal Show 2008

The Midsummer Flute & String Quartet appeared once again at the Warwick Royal Show, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. The Quartet performed for the four days of the show on the grandstand and in the flower show.

The Midsummer Quartet play to Royalty

On the second day of the show, the quartet had the honour of playing to HRH The Prince of Wales and HRH The Duchess of Cornwall  for almost half an hour as they visited the display stands around the grandstand where the musicians were performing.

Music makes the flowers grow

A showery four days forced the Quartet to play indoors one morning, where they brought a little sunshine to the displays in the flower show. The versatile musicians not only play as a string quartet but also as the Ringerike Ceilidh Band a Gloucestershire / Worcestershire / Herefordshire based band, which will be playing for the Great & Little Tew Flower Show later in the summer. Perhaps suggestions that plants respond well to music, is true!
