The GL Jazz Trio are a distinctive trad/dixie trio based firmly Up North. A Mablethorpe Jazz Trio for all occasions. With a classic lineup of sousaphone, banjo and trombone, these boys can deliver an unforgettable experience. They're much more than the usual jazz band - 1920s songs, speciality tunes, banjo virtuosity and a magnificent selection of waistcoats are all on the cards. If you're lucky, they might even play Dueling Banjos (on one banjo)!
The MH Jazz Band was formed in 2002 from some of the finest musicians in the South of England. The GH Trio consists of George on piano and vocals, plus bass and drums. A Mablethorpe Jazz Trio for all occasions. George is a jazz pianist and vocalist who studied at Leeds Conservatoire. He specialises in music from the Great American Songbook.
George draws his inspiration for his piano and vocals from the likes of Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Chet Baker, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra.
The MK Trio, with classic New York line-up of piano-double bass-drums, plays straight ahead jazz inspired by the music of writers Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and the like who created what we know as "great American songbook".
