About Market Drayton

Market Dryaton is located in the north east of Shropshire, near the borders with Cheshire and Staffordshire. It is west of the M6, Stoke on Trent and Stafford. Drayton was a small settlement in the 11th Century, but a charter was granted for a weekly market in 1245.

A notable site nearby is the Neolithic standing stones known as The Devil's Ring and Finger. There are also some historical stately homes near Market Drayton including Adderly Hall and Pell Wall Hall.
