Welcome to our new format of providing members with a programme of events that will run concurrently with the subscription year, from 5th April 2011 until the AGM on 6th March 2012. The programme is available as hard copy for every paid up member and also on the art society’s website.
The monthly painting meetings have now been adopted as a permanent feature of the society’s activities and will continue throughout the year including the summer. Viv Dobson has kindly co-ordinated our outside painting days, these will take place once a month throughout the summer and include two new, exciting venues that we hope will be well supported. The meetings are all arranged for a Tuesday and start at 10.00 am finishing at 4.00 pm. (Please note for the Hampton Court visit the start is 10.30am.) There is a named convenor for each event that will act as the main contact point for any queries about the day including weather, directions and car sharing. Please contact the convenor if you intend to arrive later in the day.
The committee has decided to trial an extension of the Spring Exhibition to run for an extra day so please note this will now finish on a Tuesday evening rather than the Monday.
