WINTER PROGRAMME 2009/2010
Autumn/Winter programme 2009/2010
Welcome to this year’s Autumn/ Winter programme which is full of exciting demonstrations, monthly group painting meetings, workshops and even a couple of visits. This year we will continue with our monthly Art Challenge taking as our theme ‘Inspiration from the Poets’ where we have chosen some quite evocative lines of verse which we hope will stimulate your creativity and encourage you to take part. The first entries for the challenge should be presented for judging at the November meeting and then at each subsequent monthly meeting culminating with a grand exhibition of the finalists and presentation of prizes at the March AGM.
This year we are trialling a monthly group painting session that will run from 10.00am until 12.00pm at Trinity Catholic Church Hall on the third Tuesday of the month. It is hoped that this session will give members an informal opportunity to paint together working on their own topics or indeed the monthly challenge topic. The cost per session is £2.00
For our monthly demonstrations we will meet, as usual, at Trinity Church Hall.
Please note the new timings of our monthly meetings, which will now commence at 9.45am for Society notices with the demonstration starting at 10.00am. The coffee break will be at around 11.00am and the meeting will end at 12.00pm approx. The cost remains at £3.00 for members and £4.00 for non-members.
