Tim Nash Workshop on 13th February

As you can see from the photos, the Tim Nash event was very popular, though for some strange reason none or our male members attended, on this occasion.
Perhaps it's a female thing to get messy with glue and Gesso.
Tim led us into cutting magazines and wall paper , to form houses with neat rooftops from recycled business envelopes. This gave us a ' tiled' effect.
I had expected to use more eggshells, tree bark and fabric, forgetting Tims' classic methods of designing cottages and h arbour walls. He teaches regularly in Cornwall, which was apparent from the design he chose as a demonstration model. Tim lives in Stourbridge and also teaches all over the West Midlands.
We were so engrossed with paste and bottled paints that we barely stopped to eat or drink.
The finished scenes were most attractive cottages mainly , with brightly coloured doors and chimney pot backgrounds.
Mine is a little different because I decided to paint a landscape of Sky scrapers, which did prove to create a bit of difficulty. But the finished product was more surreal , so it was'nt too bad an idea.
