About Us
Ledbury Art Society is a group of around 50 artists who live in and around Ledbury, a small market town in rural Herefordshire. Our membership is varied and includes semi-professional and leisure painters together with those who just 'dabble a bit'. The society is run by a small committee elected by the members. We arrange two programmes during each year - an Autumn/Winter programme of speakers, demonstrators and active painting days, and a Spring/Summer programme where we visit some beautiful local towns, houses and farms and enjoy painting out of doors.
Each Spring Bank Holiday weekend, we hold a Members Exhibition where we usually have upwards of 100 pictures on display, mostly for sale,as well as cards and 'arty' bric-a-brac. We also arrange live demonstration by individual members throughout the exhibition. This is both an opportunity for members to display (and sell!) their work and also a very popular local attraction.
We also arrange visits to local galleries and exhibitions, hold life drawing and other tutored sessions and issue a twice yearly newsletter to keep members informed both of various activities and any new materials, retail outlets and classes available in our area.

Meetings start at 9.45 and visitors will receive a very warm welcome.
