religiousWe play for many religious weddings, mostly in Christian Churches, but for other religious denominations as well. Church weddings allow us to play repertoire that we may not be able to play in Civil Ceremonies, due to the restrictions on not being able to play music with religious connections. We've searched out Religious Wedding web sites for you. Click Religious Wedding to go to our page of Religious Wedding links. One of our selfish pleasures in playing for Church Wedding Ceremonies is that the acoustics of most churches are superb. Church of England wedding ceremonies tend to last about 45 minutes and Catholic Church wedding ceremonies tend to last 1 to one and a quarter hours, during which we would typically play for the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the register and as the couple made their exit. Sometimes we would play for an extra interlude and sometimes for the hymns if there wasn't an organist. Usually we would play for half an hour before the wedding ceremony, as guests arrived, to set the atmoshpere. c MidsummerMusicCS |
