"The house is, as the name suggests, an old coach house built in 1890 from Lakeland stone. You will see from its unusual shape that the whole of the ground floor was designed to house a coach and horses. The back half was a stable, and upstairs was for storage. The house also has several unusual decorative features, including a weather vane, a round window and a clock housed in the roof."
