The TP Ceilidh Band ref: 6385

The TP Ceilidh Band

The TP Band are a ceilidh, barn dance band based in the mountains of Snowdonia in North Wales. They play a mixture of lively tunes for dancing, some self-penned and some traditional from the British Isles and beyond. Being dancers themselves as well as musicians, they know how to get those feet moving. Their caller will guide everyone through the dances with his own brand of humour and ensure everyone has a fun time.

The band line-up includes fiddle, accordion, guitar and bass and the caller also adds percussion. They play for weddings, parties, functions and festivals in Wales and further afield. Recently the band performed at Cecil Sharp House in London at the Hwyl St. David's Day festival and also at the Green Man Festival in the Brecon Beacons.

They can also perform a variety of songs in between the dancing mainly from the folk genre.

The TP Band play some Irish, English, Welsh, and Scottish traditional tunes and also some self-penned tunes in the folk tradition. They also play some tunes from France and Sweden.
