Philip, a South African born pianist, plays Jazz Standards & Latin Jazz. The Jazz Pianist will add a touch of class to your event in the Mendips. His international career has included playing at Ronnie Scotts though he is equally at home in intimate settings such as the plush surroundings of London’s Lanesborough Hotel. Jazzwise magazine praised his ‘enjoyable, easy swinging’ playing and his CDs have received widespread critical acclaim and national airplay including the ‘Jamie Cullum Show’ on BBC Radio 2.
John is a Midlands based pianist who can play in a number of styles from classical to pop and jazz. He is happy to tailor his music to your event and can accommodate most musical requests. In the case of weddings, he is happy to play for the ceremony itself as well as the reception.
Ian and John have been playing jazz together in a number of different groups and settings for over twenty years. the Mendips is within this Jazz Pianist’s local performance area. Ian has also appeared as a featured artist on recordings by Gordon Haskell and Sandi Thom, among others. John plays in a number of jazz groups across the Midlands and has worked with such jazz luminaries as Alan Barnes, Tina May and Annette Gregory.
