About Yarm

Yarm, or Yarm-on-Tees, is a small Georgian market town in North Yorkshire on the south bank of the river Tees.The river Leven also runs near to the town. For centuries Yarm was known as Yarum, which derives from the anglo-Saxon word "Gear", actually meaning a pool for catching fish - a man-made pool with a special channel to trap the fish in. At the centre of Yarm is the cobbled high street. Plenty of Yarm's historical pubs are still operating, such as the George And Dragon and the Ketton Ox.

There are plenty of venues for your party, wedding or event in Yarm. Just up the road is Preston Park and Preston Hall, a museum and grounds which offers room hire for any size of party.
