A three piece ceilidh band ideal for barn dances, ceilidhs, sessions or just a evenings music! Repertoire covers Traditional Irish, Scottish and English tunes and songs, as well as Breton, French Canadian and the occasional Appalachian tune. the Rhondda is within this Barn Dance Band’s local performance area. As a Welsh based band, they also offer several sets of traditional Welsh tunes suitable for dancing.
Based on an English Barn Dance Band, they can also include American, Scottish and Irish if desired. This Barn Dance Band is a regular visitor to the Rhondda. Hear all the traditional barn dance tunes, dance all the dances, with the SR Band, including accordion, fiddle, bass and Sheila herself, the caller (+ guitar, percussion) ,– and what a lovely Geordie accent she has too! The band's emphasis is on having fun and they are happy to play for any event, from village socials, birthdays, anniversaries, weddings etc.
