This band have been performing their own particular brand of traditional English, Irish and Scottish music for a while now. The current 5 piece + caller line-up seems to have got people talking about them and they have been very busy recently playing pubs, folk clubs, universities and private parties. The LT Band (2 piece + caller) is a well established ceilidh / barn dance band, featuring a fiddle and accordion plus caller. The Barn Dance Band performs regularly in Sudbury. The Fiddle player swaps to guitar where appropriate and they also use a percussion block to add a bass drum sound. The DS Ceilidh duo is a 'micro ceilidh' band made up of box/bass drum and caller/whistles/flutes, perfect for smaller spaces or budgets. This Barn Dance Band is a regular visitor to Sudbury. They can also offer less familiar instruments, such as cornamuse, hulusi and bagpipes, and they can sing songs while your dancers get their breath back! The musicians have years of experience playing in ceilidh bands and their repertoire covers English, Scottish, Irish, American and some French.
