The HP Ceildh/Barn Dance Band ref: 6309.2

The HP Band is an established, very experienced barn dance / ceilidh band that plays for a wide range of events in East Anglia and beyond. The electro-acoustic line-up, with its emphasis on rhythm and melody, plays traditional dance tunes as well as more recently composed music. Although specialising in weddings and private parties, the band regularly play for public dances and at clubs and festivals throughout the country. They play with a range of callers and can tailor their dance repertoire to suit particular requirements; if clients would like to do particular dances, they should let the band know and they will include them wherever possible. The HP Band pride themselves on playing music that people enjoy listening to as well as dancing to. A smaller band is also available.

The band mainly play English ceilidh music but do include some Irish, Scottish and European. They can also play appropriate music for a number of traditional French dances. The line-up features Melodeon, Bass guitar, Mandola, (Flute, Bagpipes, Recorder), drums + caller. The group can also be booked with keyboard in addition.
