The AM Guitar Duo

These two young exciting young guitarists met and formed a Duo during their undergraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. Their repertoire is wide-ranging and they have a busy performance schedule playing in venues throughout the UK. Since December 2009, the duo have also been members of the Live Music Now! Scheme.

Martin studied at the prestigious Chetham's School of Music and was then awarded a major entrance scholarship to the RNCM under the tutorage of Craig Ogden and Gordon Crosskey. Martin started his musical life studying percussion and singing but at the age of 10 became inspired by the guitar. Martin plays a 7 string guitar by the English luthier Stephen Hill.

Born in Ashford, Kent, Amy has also spent many years under the tutorage of Craig Ogden and Gordon Crosskey at the Royal Northern College. Prior to her studies at the RNCM, Amy attended the Junior Royal Academy of Music studying with Michael Lewin. She has performed as soloist and chamber musician at venues around the UK and in France.
