The LT Ceilidh / Barn Dance Band ref: 4541.2
The LT Band (2 piece + caller) is a smaller version of a well established ceilidh / barn dance band, featuring a fiddle and accordion plus caller. The Fiddle player swaps to guitar where appropriate and they also use a percussion block to add a bass drum sound. These talented musicians can also play bagpipes and bodhran to offer contrast in a few numbers. The caller is experienced in ensuring an enjoyable evening and will select dances to suit the ability of the audience - an essential element if everyone is going to have a good time. A larger band which adds a guitar player is also available.
The music for the dances comes from a global assortment including Russian and Greek, but mostly Irish, Scottish and American. The band can also provide incidental music to provide a complete night's entertainment.
