The GM Ceilidh / Barn Dance Band ref: 4454.1
The GM Band play music for all sorts of events and in venues such as hotels, restaurants and church halls. Their line up is fiddle/caller, guitar, and bass. Their caller is experienced in explaining the dances and then helping people through them. They usually start with very easy dances and then they get a bit more complex as the evening goes on. During any breaks, the band will play some tunes or sing a few songs.
A larger band is also available.
Repertoire covers English, American, European, Scottish and Irish folk. Songs offered range from Irish & Scottish songs right through to the 60s.
|Party||Just wanted to say thanks for your help with my mum's party - the band were amazing. There'd been a problem with the invitations that meant only about 30 guests came and it could have been awful - the hall's quite big even for the 60 we were expecting - but the band were so good, they really worked hard and saved the party. Mum loved it.|
|Birthday||Thank you so much for such a great performance on my father's 80th on Saturday 24 November. Dad had a fantastic night and so did everybody else; I was delighted so many people joined in the merriment. You managed to create the perfect ambience.|
|Birthday party||Just a quick note to thank you - the band were excellent. I had some great feedback from family and friends who came along and said they thoroughly enjoyed the music, dancing and thought Sarah was a great caller.|

|Wedding||"We're on our honeymoon but wanted to thank you and your friends for such a wonderful evening at our wedding. Everyone had a great time and your patience as we kept getting the dances wrong contributed to the fun! What you did helped perfect strangers get to know each other which is great. Many thanks and we wish you every success. Ian and Marie x"|
