| The GW Band's rationale is to provide the best funky dance music possibly. They have the country's finest musicians who specalise in this art form. The GW Dance Band have performed together for nearly twelve years and they are a truly exceptional group of 'funky' musicians. They love what they are playing and this makes their music 110% funky.
The band comprises of keyboard player David, a world renowned musician who has worked with the likes of Depeche Mode, David Bowie, Kraftwork, Massive Attack, Simply Red, Bono and countless others. He has performed in the largest stadiums and for corporate clients everywhere, as has our vocalist Victor (ex The Drifters). Mark on saxophone has been a professional performing musician for 30 years, regularly performing with his son Theo on drums plus bass and guitar.
The band's set includes some of the best tracks of the disco/funk days, and includes many of the greatist dance tunes from the 'jazz/funk' genre.
The GW Dance/Funk are more than happy to perform 'special' tunes/songs for their clients, given reasonable notice.
The band has played a host of functions across England and Europe, playing many Army Mess events plus weddings, functions and parties. Notably they hosted a range of functions at the top London Night Club the Paragon Lounge. They have also recently performed at the Chelsea Arts Club for the Chairman of the Club.
