| The IS Ceilidh Band is very experienced in playing for a variety of events, including weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, Burns Nights etc. Their line-up of accordion, fiddle, guitar and caller offers a truly authentic Scottish sound.
The band's caller explains each dance at the outset. The caller will judge the mix of skills on the night, and tailor the initial instructions, and guidance once started, to suit - so no previous experience necessary. Above all, the aim is to ensure that the ceilidh is an enjoyable event. |

Typical dances at a Scottish ceilidh are the Gay Gordons, Dashing White Sergeant, Strip The Willow, Scottish Welcome, Canadian Barn Dance, Military Two Step, Virginia Reel, Cumberland Reel, St Bernard's Waltz, and many more. More complicated music for experienced dancers can also be offered. |
