| The Band are an extremely popular jazz band formed several years ago by Keith, an antique dealer, for a specific Sotheby's event. Some ten years on with six CDs to their name and an extensive client list.
They enjoy regular bookings at all major UK Jazz Festivals and have regular jazz programme air time across twelve counties UK, Australia and Russia. The AS Band's corporate client list includes many well known names, including Christies, Honda, Tesco Worcester County Council - just to name a few.
The Band also offer the choice of playing just as a Quartet providing ambient party jazz or quieter background jazz during a meal. |
| The band plays a style of jazz influenced by the works of such musicians as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver and the Revivalist bands of the ‘40s.
There is a strong New Orleans influence in some of the music played by this band, but more modern numbers and ‘party jazz’ are important parts of the repertoire. |
