Hear & See More... | Ringerike Ceilidh Band / Barn Dance Band ref:4003.1 : Send enquiry |
| Ringerike play a huge range of folk music for both listening and dancing to. They are no ordinary folk band. As classically trained musicians, they "put the music" into folk.
With such a wide repertoire they can put on specific Irish, or Scottish ceilidh, or play a wide range of national and international music. You define the style of event you want - folk music ranges from some of the most moving and lyrical music in existence to wild, raucous and steamy.
Ringerike love it all! Never danced before? Don't worry, our caller will guide you through. Ceilidhing is fun for all.
Note: This line up of the band is 4 instruments + caller, as in the music samples below. |
| Either a mixture of Irish, Scottish, English, Welsh & European folk music, or we can put on a totally Irish or Scottish Ceilidh. |
| Wedding ceilidh | Thanks for the music at our wedding on the 21st Sept, we thoroughly enjoyed everything that your band played and the dancing got everyone going. We had an amazing day as a result of contributions from many people, so thank
you once again. | | Reception | The Ceilidh band were fantastic! We all had such a good time, especially once people had got over their shyness & were gallivanting around the dance floor!! | | Wedding | All of our guests enjoyed themselves, whether dancing or watching – and we saw some people dance that we would never have imagined might give it a try! So thanks for pitching it at the right level. Many thanks | | Reception |
Hope you all had a good time - we certainly did! The band was fantastic and was the icing on the cake for a really memorable occasion. Thanks again to all the crew. | | Birthday party | This is to say a big THANK YOU for coming on the evening and playing so well, and to such a high standard, much to the appreciation of all those we’ve spoken to/had messages/had cards from – and there were some pretty good folk musicians in the hall. It really was a very successful party, with Ringerike taking centre stage, and getting the, albeit willing, audience on their feet for lots of fun dancing. The ceilidh seemed to be pitched just right, with a good mix of the easier dances early on and the more intricate later on much to the delight/laughter of the dancers. | | Wedding | Dear Derek,
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for such a wonderhul evenings entertainment you supplied us with on the 15th April at Eastnor.
Everyone has said what a fantastic time they had and the ceilidh was a perfect end to our perfect day.
On a personal note, we couldn't have asked for better and the band was fantastic - really got everyone going. I'm just sorry it was so cold! Again thank you for staying on so I could use your pa, hope it didn't make you too late home.
If anyone asks me in the future for a ceilidh band recommendation, I will of course pass on your information.
Once again, a huge huge thank you.
Best regards,
James |
