Classical & light music Groups

We have divided our musicians into broad categories such as String Quartets, Harpists etc., but within some sections are some less conventional combinations of instruments and music styles, particularly in the Duos section, so have a brows through the groups and listen to the music to find something that you really enjoy. Weddings, parties, dinners, corporate events - the list of situations where music can add something special is virtually endless.

String Quartets

This is probably the most popular classical and light music combination. Most groups are conventional String Quartets (2 violins, viola, cello), but we have some other less usual combinations, such as Flute & String Quartet (flute, violin, viola, cello).

Harp

In this section you will find the Concert Harp, the large and most familiar instrument. Under our Folk section, you will find the smaller Celtic of Folk Harp.

Vocal - sopranos etc.

This covers solo singers, such as sopranos

Duo & Trio

This covers a wide range of musical combinations, such as string trio, flute and violin duo, piano cello saxophone etc. The best option here is to select your county and see the interesting options available.

Guitar & Lute

This is mostly solo guitarists and lutenists, but there are some larger ensembles. Style covered varies, including baroque, classical, romantic, Flamenco etc.

Piano

Under this section come classical and light music pianists. Some pianists are also jazz musicians, but these are best found in our Jazz section. Some pianists have portable electric pianos available, should there not be a suitable piano at the venue.

Brass ensembles & bands, Wind ensembles and string ensembles

This section is mostly dedicated to brass and wind, covering brass ensembles, brass bands, wind quartets and larger wind ensembles. We have also put larger string groups in here [anything bigger than a string quartet].
