| Rod performs, teaches and makes classical guitars and lutes. For some years he was lutenist to the National Theatre Company in London. Recently he has performed with The Volanti Strings and has been involved on several educational projects with the English Symphony Orchestra. He taught Vanessa Redgrave to play guitar for her part in the film Mary Queen of Scots and Liv Ullman to play the lute for the film "Christina of Sweden". Rod played on the sound-track of both of these films.
Rod can offer classical guitar and lute to play for dinners and as civilized background music. This is 'real' music, not amplified, so consideration has to be given to the number of guests and acoustics of the venue. |
