The TS Ceilidh Band ref:4371
|The TS Ceilidh Band are a professional group who regularly perform at weddings and functions. Based in Manchester, the group plays at venues across the UK. Individually, members of the band have taken Scottish music all over the world including tours of Russia and New Zealand. The band aims to provide an entertaining evening whatever the occasion.
The Band prides itself on:
Professional musicians of the highest standard, having won various awards and performed on BBC Radio Scotland: An enthusiastic friendly caller with over seven years experience who can explain dances clearly, step by step if required: A flexible group who will work with you prior to the event to ensure you get the right atmosphere for your evening.|
|The band's repertoire includes a wide range of music including many of the best known Scottish tunes. They call a varied selection of dances, from relaxed waltzes to the livelier Strip the Willow. The choice of dances can be arranged prior to the event or can be left up to the band to gauge as the evening progresses. Their aim is to provide the right atmosphere for the evening whether it be a relaxed night, or an energetic knees-up with a full night of dancing.|
|Engagement Party||The TS Ceilidh Band were fantastic! They made the evening whether you were dancing or watching. The floor never cleared all night. They were impressed with how many people knew the dances already and so they were interested in how many St Andrews people were there. My Mum who is 86 stayed until the Band finished at 11:30 because she had enjoyed watching so much and she was able to hear when other people were talking to her.
What was very good indeed was the way they set things up. The drummer was the caller and his headset mike and speakers worked very well. When you were on the dance floor you could hear every word of his instructions but when you were in the main body of the room the music and the calling were at a very pleasant level indeed. In fact when you were at the bar you could hear the disco in the next function room blaring out. In fact one or two of the other party wished they were at our do!!!!
I can't thank you enough for you help with sorting out the music/band for the do. Be sure that I told everyone how I'd got the band.|
