Donald Brown grew up on the west coast of Scotland where there are strong piping traditions.He has built up a wide- ranging repertoire of traditional and contemporary pipe music.
After moving to Sussex,he joined the Eastbourne Scottish pipe band and over the years have played with them at the Fairfield Hall, Croydon and the Guild Hall, Preston, among others, and more recently with The Band of the Royal Engineers at Firle Park, Sussex, during the Millennium celebrations. He is also a member of Gatwick Caledonian Pipes and Drums. His tartans are Hunting Stewart- dark green, Lamont-blue green or Ancient Caledonian-red. |
