| We’ve played for celebs. – (Davina McCall’s wedding, Madonna……….), for millionaires to the military, but what gives us a real buzz from the close to 1000 weddings and other celebrations we have played at, is when we are able to contribute to someone’s once in a lifetime experience, be it in a stately home or someone’s back garden.
The Midsummer Flute & String Quartet offer something out of the ordinary. The magic of the flute, combined with the strength of the strings gives some wonderful options for a wedding, party or corporate event and a breadth of repertoire to suit all tastes. Repertoire spans the centuries from baroque through classical to jazz and light music of the present day. Whether it is background music for an event or a wedding reception, music for the civil or church wedding ceremony, or music to listen to in a concert performance, you can rely on our experience to capture the mood. If the occasion and weather permit we are happy to play outdoors in the gardens, engendering the mood of a bygone splendour.
