| Ideal for weddings, parties, fêtes and other functions, the band’s broad repertoire will delight. The choice of songs naturally blends with the mood, but often, as eating finishes the discrete background jazz changes and the dancing starts. Later, some piano rock and roll / jazz never fails to excite the energetic dancers present. Given notice, your special songs or tunes can be requested and performed too.
Matthew’s piano playing stems from a classical training, and his outstanding talent will transport you to a different era of memorable melodies, meaningful lyrics, romance, moonlight, and cheek to cheek dancing. Matthew is accompanied by Mike laying down thoughtful and rhythmic bass lines and Andy on the drums. All three band members are experienced musicians, who love their work, and The MH Band is certain to be a hit. |
| The band plays cool and mellow piano based jazz songs from greats such as Gershwin Bros., Cole Porter, Fats Waller, and such favourites as 'All of Me', 'Blue Moon', and 'Almost Like Being In Love'. They can also add a modern twist, with some Beatles, The Monkees and classic rock'n'roll, for example. They also play more contemporary interpretations such as Laura by the Scissor Sisters and trouble by Coldplay (depending on the audience). |
