| This is an experienced band who have been playing together for a variety of functions for a number of years. The basic line-up is fiddle, melodeon, guitar, bass guitar or drums and caller. They often play for dance groups Appalachian included) and as a result their music is guaranteed to make you "lift them legs".
The aim of the STC band is to make sure that everyone has a good evening. Their caller is very experienced and will give very simple instructions just before and during each actual dance. The aim is partly to mix people up a bit (dancing with 'strangers' ?), to get the blood circulating a bit and for those present to enjoy
themselves a lot !
The band provide their own PA/sound equipment. A three & five (including drums) piece plus caller option is also available.

| The band offer a mixed ceilidh repertoire including Irish, Scottish and English folk tunes. |
