About  Worthing   

Worthing has grown to be the second largest town in West Sussex with a population of over 99,000 but evidence shows that Stone Age people lived in this area over 60,000 years ago. By the New Stone Age, some 5,500 years ago, it was the centre of the most important flint mining industry in the country.
