Towns, cities and regions, such as   Poole  have an influence on the style of music, whether it is the 'English Countryside' feel of Vaughan Williams, the strength of Elgar's Victorian Malvern, or the skirl of Northumbrian Pipe tune.

About  Poole

Poole began as a town in the Middle Ages. Poole means, of course, the place by the pool. At the time of the Domesday Book in 1086 England was divided into areas called manors. the area where Poole now stands was part of the manor of Canford. However there was no record of a settlement at Poole at that time. There may have been a handful of huts but no substantial settlement. The town at Poole was probably founded in the late 12th century.
