Dartmouth is one of the most picturesque and interesting old towns in the country. Snugly situated on the hillside, just within the mouth of the river Dart, it is truly beautiful at all seasons; the deep sheltered harbour with its many colourful boats, the surrounding hills that guard the town, the river frontage which is fringed with gardens, rocky coves, churches, castles and many National Trust properties all add up to make Dartmouth a wonderful place to spend a relaxing holiday.
