About Bedford
The Saxon town of Bedford is located 20 miles north of Luton about halfway between the M1 and A1. John Bunyan, author of Pilgrim's Progress, was born near here in 1628. Woburn Safari Park and Woburn Abbey are just a few minutes drive away. With a population of 149,000, Bedford is the second largest town in Bedfordshire behind Luton
